You know our pieces — now meet the people who make them. First up: Mikhail Vinogradov (also known as Misha), one of our talented in-house jewelers.

He's at any given moment, probably doing a wall sit somewhere in the studio, and he keeps the office stocked with honey from his own bees. If you're lucky, he'll bring you a jar on your birthday.

How did you get started making jewelry?

I was born a jeweler—but seriously, by chance. I never thought I would be a jeweler, especially in the U.S. I guess I am just lucky.

What is your favorite part about your job?

The people I get to work with.

What is your favorite piece you've ever made?

Anything that my wife would like. And anything that is in the process of being made.

What do most people not know about jewelry making?

Most people do not know the technique it takes to manufacture the jewelry and the amount of time that goes into creating a single piece.
