Consider the Wldflwrs is a local jewelry store based in Nashville, TN offering timeless jewelry and an exceptional shopping experience. Prioritizing hospitality and transparency in a warm, elegant environment, we specialize in selling lasting everyday wear, designing engagement rings and custom creations, and performing jewelry restoration and repair. An inviting oasis to find or create something sentimental, Consider the Wldflwrs helps clients share their story through timeless, meaningful jewelry that reveals the depths of their heart.
Essential Duties:
- Must have entry level bench experience.
- Required to have basic metal fabrication abilities and techniques. This includes batching large quantities of production jewelry and good time management.
- Must have ability to bring a raw casting to the finished product. This process includes cast cleaning, sizing, stone setting, polishing and quality checks.
- Have experience in setting small and large stones: prong, bezel, channel and pavé set round and fancy cut stones as well as small melee.
- In charge of checking in all studio shipments, castings and bagging melee.
- Keep all raw inventory organized and labeled.
- Manage, count and order studio inventory on a weekly basis. This includes all raw materials, wire, chain and loose stones.
- Must be able to operate, problem solve, clean and maintain our Formlabs 3D printer.
- Must be able to run and problem solve our Best Built Laser Engraving machine on a daily basis. You will be the sole person responsible for the daily operation of the machine which includes doing our stamping and custom engravings.
- Write out job bags and distribute to jewelers job bins.
- Must be able to quote repair jobs.
- Quality control all finished jobs. All jobs must meet CTWF quality standards.
- Oversee and manage studio documents: Production Notes, Safety Data Sheets, Studio Inventory, Repair Log, Mistake Log, etc.
- Run studio errands on an as needed basis
- Manage and send in studio metal scraps and bench sweeps to refining on a quarterly basis.
- Must have general computer skills. This includes email, Word, Excel, Google Drive, Dropbox. Must check email on a daily basis and is able to professionally respond to coworkers and vendors.
- Ability to problem-solve with a "McGiver" like attitude.
- Must keep the studio tools and equipment tidy and running properly. If maintenance or updates need to be done, they will present budget numbers to the Operations Manager.
- Participate in weekly studio cleanings. This includes, but is not limited to, sweeping, vacuuming, wiping down all equipment, and cleaning workstations.
- Must follow all safety protocols, including tying hair back, wearing close-toed shoes, safety glasses as needed, etc.
- Must have a professional appearance and be able to communicate with co-workers in a professional manner.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Positive attitude and easily adaptable to change.
- Must have a high attention to detail.
- Works under pressure well with a sense of urgency and bias for action.
- Happy to work with a range of timelines and pivot when things don’t go as planned.
- Have strong communication and writing skills. Is able to act in a professional manner.
- Technology savvy with email, Word, Excel, Google Drive, and Dropbox.
- Able to wear many hats and open to take on new tasks; team player with “no task is too small” attitude.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Jewelry, Fine Arts or a related field.
- 2-4 years of related experience with a strong understanding of jewelry making.
- Experience with fashion and luxury brands preferred, but not required.

- Must have ability to bring a raw casting to the finished product. This process includes cast cleaning, sizing, stone setting, polishing and quality checks.
- Advanced stone setting experience: claw/ball prongs, bezel, channel and pavé set round and fancy cut stones as well as small melee. This includes being able to set all of our engagement ring settings, custom projects and diamond bands.
- Experience setting colored gemstones
- The ability to use a torch and laser welder is a must.
- Must be able to sit at and work under a microscope for most of the day.
- Has experience with jewelry repair.
- Capable and confident with using a laser welding machine for daily resizes, retipping prongs, removing porosity, chain and jump ring repairs, etc.
- Required to have fundamental metal fabrication abilities and techniques. This includes batching large quantities of production jewelry and good time management.
- Ability to problem-solve in studio with a "McGiver" like attitude about everything from tools in studio to customer repairs.
- Must be able to operate our Best Built Laser Engraving machine for personalized rings, charms, and other jewelry pieces for customers.
- Must have a high attention to detail. You must remember these might be some of the most important and biggest purchases our customers are making. All work is quality checked and must meet CTWF standards.
- Must have general computer skills and check email on a weekly basis.
- Must keep the studio tools and equipment tidy and running properly.
