Our initial engagement ring consultation for setting selection is a great way to narrow down what your partner is envisioning for their future ring. Together, we can define THE dream ring or a few ring combinations that your partner would love to say "yes" to. From there, our team can help facilitate the communication, whether you want to totally surprise your partner or have them be a part of every final detail. Our bridal specialists are here to guide you towards the perfect ring. You can bring your partner, come in solo, bring a friend, or a family member - we have a lot of chairs and love to make this a memorable experience in-store for you and anyone you choose to bring along.
What are the four C's?
The 4 C's are the different grades a diamond receives - whether it's a lab-grown or natural white diamond, we work to find you a reported diamond so that you have confidence in the quality. The grades determine the quality of the diamond, which contributes to its value and price. However, we do note that value is also determined by the wearer of the ring. While we have our recommendations for a white, clear, sparkly diamond, we can always source lower or higher to your preference and vision. Different cuts (brilliant vs step) of diamonds can carry their weight and show their color and clarity differently, so it's beneficial to chat with a Bridal Specialist so they can ensure you're choosing the right grade range for you. They can also assist with prioritizing different grades to stay within a certain budget.
Can settings be customized in any way?
We consider our signature collection of settings as conversation starters - they're simply examples of what we can do. The center stone's shape, size, and the metal color of the setting are all made to order to your preference. As you try on options, you may find that you favor a thicker band or love the look of a hidden halo. Our bridal specialists will listen to your ideas, walk you through possible design modifications, and make suggestions based on your lifestyle and aesthetic.
What does the timeline look like?
Following an initial consultation, our team will assist with diamond sourcing, finding the perfect diamond for you and your partner. We can schedule a follow-up consultation to view the discussed diamond options and select your favorite. Once a diamond and setting (plus any modifications) have been finalized, we complete payment and it's on to production, which usually takes around 4-6 weeks. If you have a rush request, our team can advise per your proposal timeline and keep everything on track.
How to properly care for an engagement ring?
When in doubt, remove the ring: use our convenient Jewelry Pocket Scrunchie and Jewelry Travel Case for all nail appointments, working out at the gym, etc. We offer a 1-year manufacturing warranty on all CTWF pieces. Especially for your engagement ring, we recommend getting the stone(s) and prongs checked twice a year. You can clean the ring weekly at home, and if you're local to Nashville, come by for regular cleanings which are always complimentary. If your ring (or even just the prongs of your ring) are white gold, we also offer rhodium plating to maintain the original luster and shine of the ring.
